While I didn’t know you, I have known the Family for years, as youngsters, in Wexford and even shared flat with some members of the family, in Dublin. Ray worked with me in Masterglaze and it’s with fond memories I remember him.
Condolences also to Jim, Pat,
Anne & Margaret.
Terrible how we all lose contact with each other in Dublin.
R.I.P. to a really jolly soul.

I was returning from a match in the Wexford tennis open when I heard the shocking news of Ray's death. I knew Ray from my time in Mt Pleasant and it felt ironic as tennis was how I knew Ray. I think he embodied the membership of the club during the late 90s and early 00s which was to have a laugh and a party with a bit of tennis thrown in. Ray was a wexford man and as both my parents were from there I felt an affinity. He was among a group from MP who came to look at a new house I bought in 2001. The photo will be forever treasured. My final meeting was a year or 2 ago outside the shops in Ballyroan near where we both now live. He was gentlemanly and sociable as ever and I hope some day to have a game on the great tennis court up above and of course a post match drink. My condolences to those who got to share their lives with him.
— Richard Merriman

The Spinning Wheel of Life

Close your eyes and listen
To the music of the trees
Their foilage softly dancing
To the rhythm of the breeze

Majestic in the moonlight
Their branches standing tall
They twist and turn in unison
As night begins to fall

Engulf me in your silence
Enfold me in your light
Release my restless spirit
From the spinning wheel of life

May the dreamer in me waken
May my slumber bring me peace
May the stars be ever watchful
And hold me as I sleep

May the morning bring much beauty
As natures gifts unfold
The dappled sunlight falling
Like tears of fragile gold

Greet each day with kindness
Laugh away the years
Count each day your blessings
And wash away your tears

Close your eyes and listen
To the music of the sea
As the waves of life wash over you
And set your spirit free
— Celine Murphy
