Really sorry Donal to hear of the very sad passing of your brother Ray. I know you & the extended family will miss him dearly. Ray was a good colleague in B&I whose wit & good humour made the working day go quickly. A passionate golfer whose hero was Seve Ballesteros. He was a great friend of another good colleague in B&I Frank McPhillips who sadly also passed away this year.

My sincere condolences to Brendan and the Sweeney family on the sad news of Ray’s passing. My fondest memory of Ray was playing football against him with his then B & I teammates. Ray was a commanding and respected figure playing at centre half in the middle of their defence. He was a tough but fair opponent who always played with his heart on his sleeve. He’ll be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all. May he rest in peace.

Its truly with great sadness that I am having to write this . My memories are still vivid of the many happy summer holidays we spent together along with Donal and Brendan and all the family at their Fermanagh home ( how did we all fit into the house ) and more recently at our annual golf meetings
