I want to offer my condolences to Fr Kennedy’s family, his colleagues in Glasthule Parish and the Spiritan Order. Fr Denis was very kind to my mother and visited her in hospital when she had surgery. He was also so kind to myself and my siblings when planning our mother’s funeral in 2014. Such a lovely presence in Glasthule. I can still see him walking through the village or heading to Juggy’s for a cup of tea. Fr Denis will be missed in Glasthule and the village will seem a little duller without him. MY he RIP

Fr Kennedy was very special. He had great faith and was able to make that relatable for those whom he encountered. He brought peace and ease wherever he went. Tipp was his soul place. I had the pleasure of knowing him whilst teaching in Glasthule. I am grateful for that.May his gentle soul rest in peace

Denis was holidaying there with a friend. We arranged to meet up in our hotel and Fr. Denis remarked how unusual it was to have three Borrisoleigh men in Banjul! It was a pleasure to meet him anytime he was home in Borrisoleigh over the years. Rest in peace Fr. Denis.

Denis. Thinking of you all at this sad and most challenging time. Our condolences also to the members of the Spiritan Community on the loss of a cherished colleague and friend.

Fr. Denis was a lovely kind, and caring person who dedicated so much of himself to the parishioners of Glastule and the wider Dún Laoghaire community. Fr. Denis was extremely helpful to both myself, my colleague Richard Cruise, and others when we were planning events to mark the centenary of the sinking of the RMS Leinster back in 2018. To that, we are extremely grateful to him. Fr. Denis will no doubt be sadly missed, but he has left a wonderful legacy and many memories for all of us to cherish. May his soul rest in peace.
