Rev. James (Jimmy) Heneghan C.S.Sp.

Belated condolences (very belated-we only found out this week) to the Heneghan family. We had many, many great conversations with him when he visited New York and when we met him in Belem, Sao Paulo,Brasil, and in Beagh, Gort, and Loughrea. My best tribute to him is when people who met him once, always asked me about him years later.

We extend sincere sympathy to the family, immediate and extended, relatives and friends of the late Fr. Jimmy. He was the most loveable of people, with so many fine characteristics. We have fond memories of his visits to Williamstown N.S., always bringing a generous supply of sweets. We had several friendly conversations with him over the years. RIP Fr. Jimmy.

What a lovely gentleman Fr Jim was- always so cheerful, friendly and good humoured. He certainly deserves the best bed in heaven. Rest in peace Fr Jim. How sorry I am to not be present for the passing of a wonderful human being. The stories of Jimmy’s work and travels is more than I can grasp, he achieved so much in his lifetime and his work impacted so many around the globe.
