Very sorry to hear of the passing of Richie. He was an absolute gentleman. I only knew him as a taxi driver and just through that alone he left quite the impression. Thinking of all Richie's family at this sad time especially his wife Patsie, whom he spoke so highly of during our taxi journeys!

Very sad news to hear. Richie used to bring me into, or out of town on nights out in the taxi. Also used to bring me into the train station, where i worked for Iarnrod Eireann on-board catering back in the day, he'd make sure i made work before it wheeled on up the track to Heuston station. A gentleman, and a great conversationalist. Rest in peace 🙏

So sorry to hear of the passing of Richie, a class hurler in his day, great memories of Richie playing with Farranferris, Knockavilla and Valley Rovers. Remembering the U14 hurling tournament down the lawn between Innishannon, Knockavilla , Gurranes and Castlelack. Not sure who won but it created great excitement.
