Very saddened to learn of Ronnie’s passing. Bringing to mind lovely memories of early Loudest Whisper when Ronnie joined the band. His talent as a singer/songwriter and musician were very apparent in those blissful days of Folk/Rock music in the unfolding seventies. Ronnie’s artistry really shone forth with his portrayal of ‘Lir’ in the original stage production of ‘The Children of Lir’ Folk musical in 1973. Indeed his rendition of ‘Lir’s Lament’ both on stage and on record has been critically acclaimed by ardent theatrical pundits and Folk/Rockers alike.
As Fermoy laments the loss of one of it’s creative sons, we cannot but hesitate to celebrate the great music legacy that Ronnie has left behind. Sincere sympathies to Georgia and family and Ronnie’s brother Paul.

Adios Amigo…..Slán Abhaile Ronnie, may you find peace, harmony and tranquility.
