I was in Haye,s today getting my loaf of bread. As I do on my annual holidays I asked the kind Dónal any news about Sean. He informed me that he had passed away recently. I was saddened to hear of his passing. I would like to express my sincere condolences to all Seans family and friends. I too have fond memories as a child of Sean in Taltys. He was a really nice and gentle man. Always a kind word and patient with the kids. Maybe its nostalgia still draws me to Hayes due to Sean and his kindness. RIP Sean

To all Seans family our sincere condolences on his passing . I have very fond memories of Sean as a child on holidays in kilkee. I would alway go into his shop when he had Taltys. He was the kindest gentleman ever. He had the patience of a saint especially with kids either not having enough money for the packet of sweets or asking him 40 questions. Reminiscent of the Unbelievables sketch in the sweet shop How much are dem, no, how much are dem ones etc. If u did not have enough money you never left empty handed. A wonderful man. RIP Sean
