It is with deep sadness that I have learned of the death of Sr Catherine RIP.

St Catherine was Head of Fundraising during my term as Chairperson of the Milford Hospice Friends Association 1987 – 1989.

Through her endeavours, those of the Little Company of Mary and “Friends” much needed funds were raised so that today we have an up-to-date modern Hospice Care facility for the terminally ill with a dedicated home care team - a true testament to their mission in life.

The Little Company of Mary, affectionately known as the “Blue Nuns”, have given a lifetime of commitment to the caring of the sick, the terminally ill and those in great need for which we are indebted and gratefully thankful.

To her family and her sisters in the LCM family I extend my deepest sympathy. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
