Rest in peace Sr. Mairéad , you thought me in primary school and were one of my favourite teachers. Thanks to you I found my love of music and the I sang in the choir for many years.
— Susan
Very sorry to hear of sad passing of Sr. Mairéad. She was always a very pleasant, considerate and often witty character. May she Rest In Peace.
— Sean & Mary Rhatigan
My brother (Bill Ryan) is married to Caroline Casey (Fionnuala’s oldest daughter.) Our family was blessed to have known and loved Sr. Peggy through the Casey family. Our visits with her whenever she (and Sr. Eileen) made it to the United States were always a delight. (And one special visit where I saw her at her home 5 years ago in Ireland!) She was such a witty, talented, thoughtful and faith-filled person. I’m sure there are so many more hidden talents of hers that we don’t even know. What a wonderful career/vocation with her teaching and music combination. I’m sure she already has a band, choir or recorder group formed with her heavenly angels (& many family members!) Thank you for sharing your many gifts and blessings, sweet Sr. Peggy. We will always remember you and hold you dear. Our deepest condolences to the whole Rabbitte family.

I have so many special memories of Auntie Peggy, but will most fondly treasure my memories of two wonderful weeks spent with her in Oranmore just this past September. She was always so much fun to be around, with her deep love of family and her sharp wit. She was an extraordinary person with such a kind and generous spirit. She touched so many lives in her vocation and her career as an educator and continued to make an impact in the community well into her retirement. She also found she had a great talent for painting and shared her artwork with her family and friends. I am so grateful to have the painting she did for me of Galway Bay hanging in my home and reminding me of her every day! I will miss her dearly.
My deepest condolences to Aine, Sean, my Mom (Fionnuala), and all of the Rabbitte family, to her wonderful Presentation Family at Shantalla Road, the Presentation community and all of her friends. May her beautiful, gentle soul Rest in Peace, and may she feel our love and gratitude always.

My condolences to the Presentation Sisters, and to all of the family of sister Peggy, or Auntie Peggy, as I know her since I married her niece, Caroline (Fionnuala’s oldest daughter). I had the distinct pleasure of being around Auntie Peggy many times, and each and every time was a an absolute pleasure. In our home, we proudly display and treasure a painting she made of the place I asked her niece to marry me. Reading these tributes is especially nice, because Auntie Peggy rarely talked about herself and it’s very nice to hear about her teaching, her band leading and how many lives she touched in a wonderful way. Rest in Peace, Auntie Peggy. ❤️
