My sympathy and prayers to our Sisters in the Africa Unit past and present, to Sheila's family and all who mourn her passing. Sheila was always so welcoming and kind whenever we came from Zimbabwe to Luzi Road and, as many have said these days, was so unassuming about her gifts and capabilities. I watched her funeral Mass on the livestream today (so sorry I couldn't be there) and felt one with all who recalled her many wonderful qualities. May she rest in peace and enjoy the rewards of a life lived to the full, in loving service to the people of Zambia, England and Ireland.

So sorry to hear Sr Shelia has died. Had the pleasure of getting to know Sr. during her stays in Shalom NH. Her good humour and laughter i will never forget as she travelled back and fourth for her treatment.

We had the lovely pleasure of meeting this beautiful lady in your home on one of her visits home from Lusaka. She would have met my aunts religious order, assumption sisters in her time in Lusaka. May Sheila’s gentle soul rest in peace now. Her work here on earth is done. May she watch over you all now.

Sheila has been greatly missed since she left Lusaka in 2021. We lived over the road from each other for much of 30 years and I will always remember her gentle presence and warm smile. Throughout her illness she has been so cheerful and accepting, still so interested in happenings in Zambia whenever we spoke on WhatsApp. I never heard Sheila complain of anything,
surely she was very close to God. May she now enjoy peace and happiness in his presence.
