They Told you had passed away,
And now you are at peace,
Surrounded by your loved ones,
A Heart wrenching release.

But now you have the wings to fly,
Way up above the clouds,
No more obstacles in your way,
As you reunite with Crowds.

Those that went before you,
Some from Friendship, Some from Blood,,
With No more pain or suffering,
In the Arms of Wally Flood.

The world has lost a Diamond.
Mrs Sylvia Flood!!

Thank you for the Memories & Rest peacefully as deserved.

My heart felt condolences to Judith, Conor, Alison , Emma and Conor. Your darling mam was truly a force of nature. Growing up in Oakwood in the 60s,70s and 80s was a unique experience of a truly loving and caring community. Your Mam , the wonderful Sylvia, was the embodiment of all that was good about Oakwood. I can’t be there today but have so many wonderful memories of you mam , from packing Matchbox cars to working in a shoe ‘Factory” behind the old Central Bank - she was an entrepreneur before we even know what that meant. A unique , beautifully gentle and loving spirit.

Ní beidh a leithéid ann arís.

So sad to hear of the passing of Sylvia. One of the great Oakwood 'mammies'. She helped to keep a generation of Oakwood children on the straight and narrow, for which many of us parents will be forever grateful. She was a great mentor and role model with a quirky sense of humour and fun. She will be greatly missed. May she rest in peace.
