I was so gutted to hear about the loss of such a cracker of a man. I lived in kangaroo valley from 2020-23, many happy memories of early morning starts in the coffee shop. No matter what time it was, or how busy a day it was.. it would never stop a quick chat.

Bless you mate, I hope you are in a good place.. you made an impact on my life in a short amount of time, I can’t imagine the heart wrench many others will be feeling due to you leaving us.

I hope we pull over when driving past one another on a country road somewhere else, and stop for another beer together.

RIP tadg. CJ (London)

I sit and wait
Does an angel contemplate my fate?
And do they know the places where we go
When we're grey and old?
'Cause I have been told
That salvation lets their wings unfold
See you in the crackers in the sky for mass at half past seven…
— JJ.

Our deepest sympathies to the O'Mahony family during this incredibly sad and heartbreaking time.

Tadg has been a constant presence in my life for over twenty years, and I will forever hold close the memories of him — his kindness, humour, and caring nature. He had a way of making everyone feel special, and his talent for storytelling was something I’ll always remember fondly. Tadg was skilled joiner and carpenter with exceptional craftsmanship and bought every everything he worked on to life.

He shared a beautiful bond with his Goddaughter Maeve, and the time they spent together will always be remembered with love.

Tadg will be missed beyond measure, but he will forever be held in the highest regard by all of us who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Rest in peace, my beautiful friend.

I knew Tadg in Sydney from 2001/2005. I am so very sad to read this. He was one of a kind and a heart of gold. One night many years ago we were out and he bought up a huge amount of take away food and fed the homeless of Kings Cross in Sydney. That was the type of man he was. Rest in Peace mate. You made a difference.

My heartfelt condolences to Tadg’s family. Tadg played a significant role in my life during my early years in Australia. He had a big heart, always loved a good chat, and would do anything for those around him. His kindness and generosity will never be forgotten. Wishing you strength and comfort during this difficult time, knowing how deeply he was loved.
— Geraldine Condon
Tadg was truely one of a kind, a very special person who in his short time in Kangaroo Valley left such a big mark. He was always so encouraging of my architectural studies and excited to share his connections to certain notable works. What made him stand out most is that he would always notice when I'd been away for a while (up at uni) and made sure to come over and welcome me back and see how I was. I always looked forward to seeing him. My last conversation was at the show a few weeks before his passing, we had a laugh as we waited for our Thai food and bagged on a notable Australian architect, who he, with quite colourful language, described in not such great light to both our amusement, so glad to have seen him before heading back off. It's so very hard to believe he won't be around anymore, I can't even imagine how you as his family must be, I will keep him and all of you in my thoughts and I hope that in time the weight of your lose eases in some way.
