Uncle Tom was a wonderful man and great human being. I have very fond memories of him, his kindness, consideration for others and open generosity. My late Ma would often say how much he was appreciated as a son by my grandparents. He was exceptionally caring to my father in his latter years, calling regularly for a chat and never coming empty handed.
