I'm very sorry to hear of Tim's passing. While I only had occasional contact with him in recent times, he was one of my golfing friends from my younger years that I always had particularly fond memories of. His imposing physical presence was matched by a warm, vibrant personality, a terrific sense of humour and a character of great decency and concern for others. It was always a delight to be in his company, and I know he will be greatly missed by very many. I send sincere condolences to his family.
Dearest Eileen, James, Claire and Turlough. Our deepest sympathies to all of you. I first met your Dad in 1997 when I traveled to Ireland with Steve and John Lynch to play some golf and make new friends. It was a fantastic trip one that I will always remember. The boys took us to the Galway races one day. An event like no event I had ever experienced before or since. As the day went on, the group got scattered. And I became a little concerned that I might not be able to find everyone in this sea of humanity. And then like a very large angel from heaven, towering above the crowd was the big man with his big mustache, and I knew I had been saved. Yes, Tim save me that day. And we’ve laughed about it many times since. But the thing that I will always remember most about my friend. Is this, once the dinner plates are cleared and the glasses are refreshed. Everyone at the table or within an earshot would turn their attention to Tim. He was the center of attention, for Tim would have some great jokes and always finish with a very funny and surprising story. It was truly a gift he had. I had never met someone with his qualities and I have never met someone since.
I will miss you my friend. God bless the beautiful family you and Eileen created. Kathy and Dennis Keeley

Dearest Eileen and family,
A passing of a really true gent, with wonderful empathy and a great sense of fun.
Our fondest memory of ‘Mon Vieux’ was the great taxi trip made from our home to his home in Rosstrevor, forgetting to call into his home in Dublin!!!
He will be missed but the memories are etched for ever RIP Tim

I met Tim on my first visit to Ireland in 1992 with my brother John and our Dad. What I came to know about Tim over the decades since came from many visits back and forth between Boson and Cape Cod and Newry. I quickly learned that Tim’s physical stature belied his keen intellect. His intellect belied the depth of the kindness in his heart. His joke or story was always the best because you never saw the punchline coming. His sincere interest in me and my family touched me deeply and was only matched by the obvious abundance of love he had for Eileen and their family. I feel blessed to have been his friend and will treasure the memories of our time together.
Sincere condolences Eileen to you and your family
RIP Tim

Tim was my “master” during my apprenticeship in Donnelly, Neary and Donnelly a life time ago. He taught me many tricks of the trade but most of all he showed me what it meant to be a decent human being. His impression was deep and long lasting. I am very sorry to learn that he is gone too soon. His party piece rings in my ears and has been played more than once since I heard this sad news.
May the wonderful memories of this lovely man sustain you in the times to come. Rest In Peace, Tim

Eileen, James Claire and Turlough you have lost your beloved husband / father who was your hero.
The rest of us who were fortunate enough to know Tim have lost an irreplaceable friend. He was so multitalented, a great lawyer, fantastic colleague, formidable opponent one of the best and funniest after dinner speakers, and brilliant company. He was a great all round sportsman particularly golfer winning a Trinity Blue. Judging by the photograph these talents didn't extend to fishing! He had friends all over Ireland and in Boston and Florida. No wonder we were all jealous of him!
They don't make them like Tim any longer.
Until we meet up on the other side for pints and stories rest easy big man. RIP
