Dear Mary and family. I have been searching after Tom for the past few years to no avail. Today is his birthday, April 15, and we always called him on his day. Unfortunately, today I found his obituary.
We are truly saddened to read of Tom’s death but have suspected something was wrong for sometime.
I would be grateful if you reach out to me and tell me something of his final days. We spent many of our days in Ireland with him as our companion, filling us in on my mother's young life in Aughadrina, and Irish history.
He was a treasured cousin and friend.
With prayers and sympathy

I fondly remember Tom from years ago as a courteous, considerate, gentle and remarkable person.
I recall his able support and loyalty to Paddy O'Flaherty, Mayor and Business person, and to Paddy's family subsequently. He had an eye for detail but accompanied by insightful perspective
Tom brought calm and good humour with him always. His good humour was shared in a way that was ever uplifting.
Tom brought Peace with him in his lifetime and often for the benefit of others in distress.
His Death causes sadness and loss for all who knew him.
May Tom Rest in Peace forever.

Our deepest sympathy to Tom's sister-in-law, Mary, his nephews, Tim & Luke & his niece, Marie-Clare. I was so sorry to hear of his passing.
After I started working in Galway in the '70s, he often gave me a lift to & from Galway.
My mother regularly enjoyed a lovely chat with Mrs Gannon as they did their shopping all those years ago.
It was well known that he was a loyal & competent Staff member of O'Flaherty's & so well respected by their customers down through the years.
He will be remembered as a true Gentleman & a great Mayo man.
May he now find rest & peace, reunited with all his family.

It is with great sadness that I learned of Tom’s passing. We were friends since 1971, when he came to work in O’Flaherty Motors and we both stayed in digs with my aunts across the road from the garage. Tom became friends with my family and extended family over the years and was held in high regard by all of them. My kids (now adults) often talk about his visits to our house in Moycullen, when he always brought the “goodies”. Tom was always in good form and up for a laugh and a joke. We have always remained friends.
We offer our deepest sympathies to Tim, Luke, Marie-Clare, their mother Mary and all his relatives and friends. We will always remember him as a kind, helpful, friendly and most generous person. May Tom Rest In Peace with his parents and brothers.

Deepest sympathy to Tom Gannons family and friends on the very sad passing of Tom.I worked with Tom in O'Flahertys for severals years in the accounts department. He was their manager and very fair to everybody.
He was a great mentor to all the staff and I gained considerable experience from him in my early days as a trainee accountant in the day when computers not alone a calculator were unheard of.
He also gave me a great insight into the motor trade and of course the funeral business.
He was so kind and considerate to the staff and of course all members of the public be it the person buying a fancy car or the person needing funeral arrangements.
He made everybody feel important.
May Toms soul rest in peace

Our deepest sympathies to the Gannons. Tom worked with us for at least 30 years and he was the rock. Nothing was a problem to him. He was always kind to the bereaved, considerate to everyone who had a car problem and to those who had the pleasure of working with him. A great mentor and a wise 'owll'.He had a great calming influence on what sometimes was a mad crazy day in the garage and or the parlour and we had so many laughs. An absoloute Gent. Thinking of some of his class phrases now.
Rest in peace Tom.
Always remembered by Cathriona, Willie and family and all your friends in OFlahertys.

So sorry to hear of Toms passing so soon after his brother Tim. RIP.
Tom was a great friend of our Dad, John. They worked together in a previous life and always stayed close. Tom arriving to our kitchen always brought with it a sense of fun. He was always laughing, which was infectious in itself, and there was plenty of harmless devilment in him. We have nothing but the very fondest of memories of Tom Gannon, and are terribly sad to see that he has passed. Deepest sympathy to his family.
