Over many years we travelled all over Duhallow to quizzes, in cold pubs and halls, great rivalry and friendships. We were at a great disadvantage however. The man on our team (Dan Sean) knew nothing about sport and Tommy knew everything!

I first got to know Tommy when he was Chairman of Cork Ladies Football Board in the mid to late 70’s. He later gave me invaluable help when I was doing the Cork Ladies Football history, he had a great knowledge of the years that led to the founding of Cork Co. Board and the early years of same. We are indeed indebted to him for his great knowledge. A great Gael gone to his eternal reward. May his gentle soul Rest In Peace.
