Dear Gran, Ursula, my grandmother.

You were always there for me throughout my childhood. You were such a special person in my life, especially growing up, as I spent all of my childhood with you and my grandfather, Joe. We did everything together going to restaurants on Sundays, going for a Sunday drive, baking, and playing piano. Whatever we did, you lit up my world and made me complete. You made me feel so safe as a kid, always there to listen to me and be there with your kind affection. You had such a lovely, calm presence that radiated out into the world. You had so many talents and gifts. 

Now I understand why my grandfather treated you the way he did. His gentleness was contagious with you; he adored you, and now I understand why he treated you like a queen the older I got.

He loved you deeply, and now you two are united in heaven peacefully. 

You will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as you touched so many of our souls.

You will always be here with me. 

I love you and will miss you.

We are very sorry to hear of the passing of Ursula. Please accept our deepest condolences at this very sad time. We have such fond memories of Joe and Ursula from all their visits to the Steakout every Saturday night.
