Very sorry to hear of his passing. Fr. Frank was a true gentleman whose influence and philosophy is only fully appreciated years after graduating. He led by example and was always polite and warm.
Any class he supervised benefitted from his wit, insight, and intellect. As a principal, he spoke to students with respect and encouraged us to treat one other with respect.
He stood out from the crowd, and his presence made any organisation stronger, and any community richer.

He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
— Mark, Eoghan and Edward Griffin
We have known Fr Frank for over 40 years. During that time he went from being an Irish priest visiting the states as summer help in St Elizabeth’s to a dear friend to part of our family. He had his own room in our house that he used regularly. With his passing a family member is now dearly missed. A great priest and a great person that can’t be replaced. So glad to have been a part of his life. God bless.
— James & Anne Townley

Frank came to our house to administer the last rites. He was a regular visitor to St. Elizabeth's Church in Wyckoff. A very considerate, consoling and compassionate man. May he rest in peace.

Fr. Frank was a charismatic and compassionate man who supported, nurtured and inspired many in his dedicated ministry. In the classroom, he was intelligent and interesting. In the corridor, he was kind and interested - a true gentleman.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

During COVID I watched Mass each morning from different churches around Ireland. Then I discovered Fr. Frank. I was totally struck by his insightful homilies and his enthusiasm for life. I never missed the Novena to St Anthony on Tuesdays and I could see that the Bishop was as totally engaged with Fr. Frank’s homilies as I was. When COVID retreated from our lives I continued to ‘attend’ Mass in St John’s.
By pure coincidence I happened to be staying overnight in Limerick. I persuaded my daughter to come with me to St John’s for 10 am Mass. my joy was complete when I discovered Fr. Frank was in the sacristy and I met him and we had a pleasant conversation.
I was devastated when I discovered he was ill and we exchanged emails for a short while before he lost the capacity to do even that.
I can truly say that Frank reconnected me with a faith I had thought I had lost and helped me to find spiritual depth that goes beyond mere rituals.
Thank you Lord for Frank and the technology that helped me find him.
He was a ‘gorgeous’ man.
— Phyl O’Leary. Borris Co. Carlow.

My sincere sympathy to the O Connor family on the passing of Fr Frank . He was firm and very fair with us as a priest and a teacher in St Munchins and his distinctive step and voice was easily recognised many years later when I heard it in St Johns Hospital.

Frank was a wonderful man. He was the priest at all of our family celebrations throughout the years, celebrating the mass at my wedding and baptising my children - often joking about the time he baptised me in his early days as a priest. Frank was also a rock in family tragedies, guiding us through deaths, illnesses, and other sad times, and we will always be grateful to him. He was so ever-present at these occasions that it is difficult to imagine future ones without Frank as a guide and a friend. He will be deeply missed.
