The death has occurred of Donal (Donie) O'Meara
Abbeville , St. Brendan’s Road, Portumna, Galway / Borrisokane, Tipperary

The O'Meara family are deeply saddened to announce the passing of the great Donie O’Meara. He passed peacefully on Friday 3rd February 2023 in UCHG, surrounded by his adoring family.

Beloved husband to his late wife Marie,

wonderful father to Anne-Marie, Yvonne, Edelle,

Niamh, John and Conor.

Donie will be deeply missed by his adoring grandchildren

Lily-Marie, Finn, Harper, Liam, James, Tess, Sadhbh, and Neasa,

Noeleen best friend to Marie and Donie,

sons-in-law Thomas, David, Alex and Damien,

daughters in-law Leah and Isobel, sister Sheila,

brothers Sean and PJ (and pre-deceased by Michael),

sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family,

kind neighbours and his large circle of friends from far and wide.

Donie will repose on Monday 6th February in

Dignity Funeral Care, funeral home, (H53 AY18)

on the grounds of Portumna Retirement Village, from 4pm to 7pm.

The funeral cortége will arrive to Saint Brigid's Church, Tuesday

morning at 10:45am.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated, for the repose

of Donie's soul, at 11:00am. The Mass will be live streamed,

for those who are unable to attend, on the following link

DONIE’S MASS

Donie's funeral will continue, to Saint Michael's Cemetery,

where he will be laid to rest, beside his beloved wife Marie.
