Eamon Mallee

The death occurred, peacefully on 16th June 2022, at the Mayo Hospice, of Eamon Mallee, 21 Moat, Balla and formerly of Rathduff,  Balla and Faughill, Kiltimagh. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Vera nee Tolan and his parents-in-law Thomas and Sal Brennan nee Staed, (Station Road,  Balla), his brother Joe (Faughill, Kiltimagh) and nephew Garda Michael Padden (Belmullet).

Dearly loved husband of Ann (nee Brennan) and loving father of Caroline, Eamonn and Keith,  adored grandad of Lisa, Aimee, Kayla, Andrea, Naomi and Tara.

He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife,  his daughter ,  sons,  cherished grandchildren,  son-in-law John Ludden,  daughter -in-law Lynette, sisters Marion and Pauline,  brothers  John,  Michael,  Kevin and Padraic,  his  brothers-in-law,  sisters-in-law,  nieces, nephews,  cousins, uncle Patrick and aunt Eileen Garside (UK),  relatives,  neighbours and many friends.

Eamon was aged 67 years.  He worked with his father on the construction of the Basilica of Our Lady  Queen of Ireland,  Knock,  He was a skilled steel fixer.   He later drove a bus for Enable Ireland and he was also a bus driver in the local community.  He was well known, respected and loved in the local community.

Eamon will repose in the Balla Funeral Home on Saturday, 18th June 2022, from 5.30pm to  7.00pm.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Sunday at 2.00pm in St. Cronan's Church,  Balla, followed by cremation in Shannon Crematorium.

No handshaking  in the Funeral Home  or Church and  masks must be worn.  The family appreciate your understanding and consideration at this difficult time.
