The death has occurred of Eilish Sammon (nee McKeown), Knocknamaddy, Ballybay, Co. Monaghan, Monday, October 18th, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family in the tender care of the nurses and staff at St Anne’s Nursing Home, Ballybay. Eilish, predeceased by her husband Seamus, deeply regretted and remembered with love by her family, sons Sean (Westport), Seamus (Monaghan Town), Macartan (Ballybay), daughters Orla Mhic Suibhne (Carraig Mhachaire Rois) and Niamh Quinn (Latton), daughters in-law Barbara, Martina and Therese, sons in-law Mícheál and Paul, sister in-law Maire, her 17 cherished grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, relatives and friends.

 

May Eilish’s Gentle Soul Rest In Eternal Peace

 

Eilish will repose at Ward's Funeral Home, Ballybay (A75 H585), tomorrow, Tuesday afternoon, from 4pm until 8pm (please adhere to social distancing guidelines as set out by the HSE and the government). Eilish’s funeral cortège will travel from her late residence in Knocknamaddy on Wednesday morning at 10.30am (driving) to arrive at St Patrick’s Church, Ballybay, for funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
