Peacefully at Portlaoise General Hospital, Emily, beloved wife of the late Joe Stanley and much loved mother of Alan, Pamela (Byers), Fergus and Michelle (Hales), her ten treasured grandchildren Alvin, Joseph, Ciara, Alicia, Matthew, Aaron, Reuben, Joy, Rose and Leeson, daughter-in-law Alison, sons-in-law Nigel and Henry, sisters-in-law Annie (Lalor), Sylvia (Neale) and Mildred (Neale), nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her brothers Leeson, William and James Neale and sisters Lottie (Melbourne), Hilda (Cantwell) and Ida (Stanley).

The Stanley family would like to express their deep appreciation to the many loyal carers of the Bluebird team who cared for Emily in the last two years with great compassion. We remember also Theresa and Margaret. Special thanks to Dr. Maher, the staff of Durrow Pharmacy and the Durrow Community Nurses for all their support and care. Collectively all these people enabled Emily to remain at home in her beloved Oldtown for as long as possible and to you all, we will be forever indebted.
Reposing at O'Sullivan's Funeral Home, Rathdowney (R32 NY24) on Wednesday evening from 4pm with prayers at 7pm. Funeral service in St. Tighernagh's Church, Aughmacart (R32 RV05) (https://youtube.com/c/AllisonRitchieChurchSinger) on Thursday at 2pm followed by interment in Rathsaran Churchyard (R32 NW50).
