The death has occurred of Eugene Dunleavy
Emerson Avenue, Salthill, Galway

Pre-deceased by his parents Jim and Agnes of the Sacré Coeur Hotel, Salthill, his brothers Fr. Louis, Brendan, Francie, and his baby sister Pauline. Eugene died peacefully at University College Hospital after a very short illness bravely borne with great courage. Dearly beloved husband of Mary (nee Doherty), adored father of Valerie and Carol and proud RaRa of Conor and Lauren; Eugene will be deeply mourned and sadly missed by his wife and daughters, by Aisling, and his son-in-law Noel Leahy; by his brothers and sisters who supported him lovingly to the end, Seán, Kieran, Dessie and Michael Dunleavy, Dr. Doreen Dunleavy-Concannon and Maureen Kissane, nieces, nephews and their families, the Bish community, the extended Dunleavy and Doherty families, neighbours and many great friends.

The attendance at the Church, outside the Church door and at the cemetery will be limited to 10 people on Saturday morning, 16th January, 2021. Gatherings are not advised in an effort to stop the spread of Covid-19. The Cortege will leave from Eugene’s home at 10.30 a.m. to arrive at the Church of Christ the King, Salthill. Requiem Mass on arrival at 11 a.m. Funeral after Mass to Rahoon cemetery. Family flowers only, please.
