The death has occurred of Eveleen HIGGINS
Laytown, Meath / Tourmakeady, Mayo
HIGGINS, Eveleen (Laytown, Co. Meath and formerly of Tourmakeady Co. Mayo) 18th July 2021. Suddenly, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, after a short illness. Predeceased by her parents Mary B. and Jim, her brothers Seán and Jim and her sisters Eilish (Sr. Anthony) and Maura Tonge. Deeply regretted by her loving brother Tom and his wife Mary and their children Elaine, Garrett and Conor, Maura’s husband Brian Tonge and their children Colm, Fionnuala, Bernard and Eoin, Jim’s wife Suzanne and their children Padraig, Gavin, Rory, Susan and Cathy, Sean and Bridget’s children Kenneth and Doreen as well as all of their families, relatives, her wide circle of friends and her beloved dog Archie.

Subject to current Government Covid-19 advice on gatherings, a maximum of 50 people can attend. Funeral cortege will leave Eveleen's home at 10:45am on Thursday 22nd of July for those who would like to pay their respects along the route to the church while socially distancing. Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Church, Laytown and will be live streamed via this link
Burial afterwards in Reilig Mhuire, Piltown. Those of you who would like to leave your personal messages may do so by using the 'Condolences' section below.
The family very much appreciate the wonderful support from friends. Thanks to all of the well-wishers, the visitors and those who wanted to visit. Thank you to the staff who looked after her at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda. A special thanks to Helen, Siobhan, Elaine and Fionnuala for the hospital visits.
