The death has occurred of Fr. John Kevin O'Sullivan

The death of Fr. John Kevin O'Sullivan, known to all as "J.K.", occurred in the late evening of Saturday June 8th 2019 in St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. John is deeply missed by his sisters-in-law Doris and Patricia, the many nieces & nephews of both the O’Sullivan & Brady families & Fr. John’s grand & great-grand-nephews & nieces. He is lovingly remembered & prayed for by his priest brothers Bishop Jim Moriarty, Fr. Larry White and all the clergy of Dublin Archdiocese led by His Grace Archbishop Diarmuid. He served faithfully for 70 years since June 19th 1949 when ordained at Maynooth. His friends are beyond counting all over Ireland, in several parishes of Florida USA and elsewhere, led by Brenda Knox, and particularly missed by the people of Clontarf, the staff & residents of Newtownpark Nursing Home who became his loved & cherished family of carers since September 2018, led by Tommy Keane & Anne-Marie Woods. He joins in the arms now of his loving parents Pat & Tess, to reside in the light of heaven with his beloved sister Myra, brothers PJ & Andy, niece Caroline and nephew John.

Fr. John will repose in the Oratory at Newtownpark House Nursing Home, Blackrock, Co. Dublin on Wednesday (12th June) & Thursday (13th June) from 2pm until 4pm. Removal on Friday evening to St. Anthony’s Church, Clontarf arriving for reception prayers at 5pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am followed by burial in Mount Jerome Cemetery.
