The death has occurred of
Fr. Michael Murphy
Our dearest, Rev. Fr. Michael Murphy CSSP, Vicar General of Makurdi Diocese, Nigeria (formerly of Kilcornan) following a brief illness at Murray Medical Center, Makurdi on November 28th 2022. Father Murphy was the longest serving Catholic Priest in the state.
Father Murphy is predeceased by his parents, sisters May and Nellie, brothers, Paddy, Tommy, Willie and Johnny and the deceased members of his fundraising community. Deeply regretted by his relatives, nephews and nieces, cousins, Paddy Ward, Newtown and sadly missed by his Nigerian, Irish and English brethren, parishioner’s and his many kind and loyal friends.

Father Murphy’s Requiem Mass will take place at 09.00am (Irish time) on Wednesday 7th December.
