The death has occurred of Gary Cummins
The death has occurred peacefully in the loving care of his family and the nursing staff of Our Lady's Hospital Navan of Gary Cummins, St. Colmiclle's Nursing Home Kells and formerly Dublin. Gary will be remembered as a very popular person both in Dublin and in Kells, a butcher by trade for many years. Due to ill health Gary decided to return to Kells to spend his final years in the care of the wonderful staff of St. Colmcille's Nursing Home Kells and his caring and devoted family members. For the past number of years, Gary enjoyed the company of so many relatives and friends who visited him in St. Colmcille's Nursing Home and made his final years comfortable and enjoyable. Gary enjoyed during his early days playing pitch and putt, and attending many successful wins by Kells Handball Club both in Croke Park and many other parts of the country where Gary would support Kells Handball Club in their many achievements over many years. Gary is survived by his loving sister Marie, brother Jimmy, sister in law Phil, nephews, nieces and a large circle of cousins in the Kells area who cared for him with great love and affection.
Gary will repose on Friday, 8th February, at Our Lady's Hospital Mortuary, Navan from 4pm until 5pm, removal at 5.20pm to arrive in St. Colmcille's Church, Kells for 6 o'clock. Funeral Mass on Saturday, 9th February, at 11.30am followed by cremation at Lakelands Crematorium Cavan for 2pm.
"May Gary's gentle soul be embraced in the loving care of St. Colmcille and may he rest in peace"
