Georgie Troy (Grandad) died, in his 95th year, August 4th 2022. Georgie resided at St. Camillus Hospital, Limerick City, since 2019, in the compassionate and loving care of the wonderful staff. Previously, Georgie lived at 31 St. Cormac's Park, Kilcormac, County Offaly after his childhood spent in The Mill.
Georgie, rarely idle, worked in Bord na Mona (Boora Works - 34 years) and lately as sacristan for the Parish of Kilcormac/Killoughey (31 years).
Georgie is predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Curley), his son Gerard, his infant daughter Concepta, brothers Jack, Mickey, Joe, Jimmy and Hubert, sisters Biddy, Ciss, Kathy, Aggie and Jody (who only recently passed away in her 103rd year).
He will be sadly missed by his son George Anthony, daughter in-law Catherine, his six grandchildren Paul, Aisling, Niamh, Oisín, Carolina and Daryl, their partners, his eight great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, friends and former work colleagues.

Georgie's family would like to thank you for your support and understanding at this difficult time. They are conscious that Covid-19 is still present and kindly ask those who are attending the wake and church to wear face coverings and refrain from shaking hands.
Reposing at his son, George Anthony's, house in Stonepark, Meelick, Co. Clare, on Friday evening (August 5th) from 5 o'clock (with rosary) at 9 o'clock. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning (August 6th) arriving at The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Kilcormac, for 12 (noon) funeral Mass, followed by burial in Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Kilcormac. House private Saturday morning. Family flowers only.
