The death has occurred of Gustaf GUNNAR Friström, 1927 –2021, late of Newcastle, Co. Dublin, and formerly of Sweden (and Cambodia with Concern 2002/2005).

 

“May I become a living Fountain of joy as I give thanks for your bountiful blessings.” Psalm 119

 

Gunnar died peacefully in Lisheen Nursing Home in the early hours of Monday 7th June 2021, after a long and fulfilled life. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Theresa McDonnell Friström; his daughters Agneta, Katarina, Charlotte, and Åsa; his sons-in-law Göran and Bruce; his 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; his niece and nephews; his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and their extended families; his stepdaughters Tintin and Susanna; and a large circle of friends around the world.

Gunnar’s Funeral Mass will be streamed live from The Church of The Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary, Saggart (St. Mary’s Church) Co. Dublin, https://www.churchservices.tv/saggart/ on Wednesday, 16th June, at 13.00h (1.00 pm) followed by burial in Saggart Cemetery. A link for a live stream will follow shortly. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to current restrictions cannot, may leave a personal message by using the condolence book at the bottom of this page.
