James (Jim) Balfe

The death has occurred of Jim Balfe, Mullantimore, Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan, H18 CP27 and formerly Blessington, Co. Wicklow. Retired member of An Garda Siochana, Tuesday, 2nd August, suddenly, at the Mater Private.

Predeceased by his father Walter, mother Kathy, sisters Margie, Bridie and Angela. Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Anne, children Deirdre, Kevin, Anne-Marie, Caitriona, Francis, Lorraine & David, daughters-in-law Catherine & Cathy, sons-in-law Paul, Shaun & Tony, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, extended family and friends.

May his gentle soul Rest in Peace.

Jim’s remains will repose at his residence on Tuesday from 2pm - 8pm. House private Wednesday, please. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 12 noon at St. Dympna’s Church, Tydavnet, burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral Mass will be streamed live on ‘Tydavnet Parish RC Churches’.
