Formerly Joyce's Country, County Galway.
Peacefully, in the gentle care of the staff of Blackrock Abbey Nursing Home. Cherished and much loved husband of Maria, son of the late Mary and John, dad of Dara, Ciarán and the late Baby Sarah and brother of Máirín, Stiofán, Angela and the late Catherine, He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing wife, sons, brother, sisters, sisters-in-law, Āine, Eileen and Bláth, brothers-in-law Kevin, Seán, Tony, Aidan, Jim and Martin, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends May He Rest in Peace Due to Level 5 restrictions on numbers at funeral ceremonies, James’ Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the presence of his family only.
There will be an opportunity for the community to show support and to remember James (Séamas) by being present on the route, socially distanced, on Saturday, January 23rd as the funeral cortège leaves from Quinn’s Funeral Home, Bridge Street, proceeding via Red Barns Road, to pass close by his home in Lower Avenue Road and continuing to St. Alphonsus’ Villas, arriving to St. Joseph’s Redemptorist Church for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Private cremation will follow.
