| Janis Lippe-Podins died, suddenly, aged 41. Janis was predeceased by his loving mother Brigita and is survived by his heartbroken father Valdis, his sister Lolita, his son Arnijs and his mother Inita, his nephew, cousins, and many friends in Kells and Latvia. Janis will be fondly remembered as a happy, friendly person who won the affection of so many people during his short life, he was a gifted craftsman whose workmanship could be found in many homes in the Kells catchment area. He loved spending his free time out on his bicycle and fishing at local rivers around Kells.
A private funeral service will take place in the coming days for Janis's immediate family and friends, followed by the repatriation of his remains to his native Latvia to be laid to rest with his mother Brigita.
