The death has occurred of John (better known as Jackie) Duffy in his 91st year of McHale Road, Castlebar and formerly of Breaffy, Castlebar, peacefully, at his home surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents John Duffy and Ellen (nee Biggins), and his daughter Debbie, also his sisters Maudie McDonagh and Bridie Leonard and his brother Joe Duffy.

 

He will sadly missed by his loving family John, Deirdre, Mark, Amanda and her partner Chris Carry, Peter and his partner Kit Upshall; his grandchildren Sacha, Oisin, Shane, Rhiannon, Caoimhe and Imogen; sister-in-law Ann; nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

 

Jackie worked for the Brown's Estate, Breaffy and later in the Castlebar Bacon Company until it closed. He enjoyed cycling and loved animals and in particular his dogs.

 

May he rest in peace.

 

Removal from his home, Tuesday 4th May at 11.15am, to St. Aloysius' Church, Breaffy, Castlebar arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Afterwards Jackie will be laid to rest in Breaffy Cemetery.
