Jackie was predeceased by his beloved wife, Anne Goonan; his parents, Mary and John Goonan; his sister Ellen Keher; and his brothers Paddy Joe and Seamus Goonan. He will be deeply missed by his sisters Annie Sweeney (New York), Mary O'Keeffe (Connecticut), Bridie Corrigan (Birmingham), and his brother Micheál Goonan (London), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Pius X Church, Doohoma, on Saturday, October 5, at 12 noon, followed by burial at Doohoma Cemetery.
