John James (J.J.) McCormack Jubilee Close, Roscommon Town. 1941 - 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, J.J., Roscommon Town and formerly of St Patrick’s Street, Castlerea, Co Roscommon who died on January 25th, 2023. He is predeceased by his parents Tom and Kathleen McCormack, his wife Maureen, brother William, sisters Maura, Margaret and Bridie and his son-in-law Mick. He has left four heartbroken daughters; Karen (Roscommon), Yvonne (Roscommon), Mary (Kerry) and Jackie (Kerry), their supportive husbands and partners John Croghan, P.J. Kennedy, Mike Keane and Tom Connolly, his grandchildren Daniel, Eoin, Steven, Chloe, Joey, Sinead and her fiancé Johnny. He will be loved and sadly missed by his brother Tom, sisters-in-law Muriel and Kathleen and all his nieces and nephews.
May J.J. rest in peace.
Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon on Friday evening from 4.30 o’c until 6 o’c followed by removal to the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon. Mass of the Resurrection on Saturday at 11 o’c followed by cremation afterwards at Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan at 2 o’c.
