O’Leary, Emoclew Road, Arklow, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Macroom, Co. Cork 26th May 2019, peacefully at St. Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin. John, retired Sergeant, An Garda Síochána, Arklow and Swords, loving husband and best friend of Betty (née Donnelly) for 60 years of married life, dearly loved father of Seán, Siobhán and the late Fiona, beloved brother of Tim, Sr. Kate (Daughters of Charity) and the late Anne. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughter, grandchildren Shane and his fiancée Therese, Daragh, Colleen, Brian, Calum, Brendan and Conor, brother, sister, son-in-law Daniel, daughter-in-law Anita, brothers-in-law Pat, Harry, Jim and Dermot, sisters-in-law Cepta, Breda, Vera and Eileen, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, friends and neighbours.

John will be reposing at Hudsons Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2pm, with removal at 6.30pm to The Church of Saints Mary & Peter, Arklow arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass Thursday morning at 10am, burial will take place afterwards in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery (at walking pace from 'The Bow of the Boat')
