John, formerly of Dublin Fire Brigade, peacefully, surrounded by his family at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Predeceased by his beloved wife Pat. Sadly missed by his children Michael, John, Catherine, Tricia & Louisa, brother Mick, sisters Margaret & Maria, sons-in-law Michael, Fergal & Ken, daughters-in-law Claire & Colette, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended Pender & Flannery families.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings a private funeral Mass will take place for family in the Church of the Assumption, Batterstown on Saturday 16th at 12:00 noon with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Those who would have liked to attend, but due to current restrictions cannot, please leave a personal message for the Pender family in the 'Condolences' section below. John's funeral cortège will travel from his home to the church and friends and neighbours are very welcome to line that route in a safe and socially distanced manner as a mark of respect.
