The death has occurred of Julia Forde
Lisheenavalla, Claregalway, Galway

Julia Forde, Lisheenavalla, Claregalway, Co. Galway, Peacefully in the loving care of Mystical Rose Nursing Home. Predeceased by her brother Denis, and her nephews Pat and Denis Hurney. Sadly missed by her brother Frank, sisters Nonie Hurney (Kiltrogue) and Mary (Baba) Flaherty (Gort and New York), sister-in-law Margaret Mary, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and a large circle of relatives, neighbours and friends, including her former colleagues at Galway County Council.

Reposing at Our Lady’s Chapel, Lackagh, on Thursday evening January 27th from 5:00p.m. with removal to the Church of Our Lady of Knock, Lackagh, at 7:00p.m. Requiem Mass on Friday at 1:00p.m. with burial afterwards in Lackagh New Cemetery.

Due to the continued prevalence of COVID in the community, reposing at Our Lady’s Chapel will be walkthrough only. The wearing of face masks is strongly encouraged both inside and outside the church, and people should refrain from hugging or shaking hands.

Mass will be live-streamed on the Lackagh Church Live channel on YouTube and also broadcast on parish radio, 106.9 FM
