MURPHY (Bere Island and Turners Cross): On January 26th, 2022, peacefully, at Cork University Hospital, in the presence of her loving family, MARGARET (née ESSON) (former Principal of Scoil Mhichil Naofa, Bere Island), beloved wife of the late Finbar, loving mother of David, Barry, Maura (Ryan), Frances, Tony, Joanna and the late Louise and grandmother of the late Michael. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, sister Eileen, brother Frank, daughters-in-law Deirdre and Maria, sons-in-law Roch, Fergus and Philip, grandchildren Darren, Cathal, Orla and Eimear, Dylan and Amy, Emily, Erica, Anthony and Ryan, Ethan, Jamie, Luke and Lily and their mother Deirdre Carey, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces especially Elaine and James, relatives, carers and a wide circle of friends.
May she rest in peace.
Reposing at Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Turners Cross on Thursday (27th January) from 3pm to 4pm. Reposing at Harrington's Funeral Home, Castletownbere on Friday (28th January) from 4pm to 6pm and removal afterwards to her residence in Bere Island. Requiem Mass at 11am on Saturday (29th January) in St Michael’s Church, Bere Island followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mass will be broadcast live on Bere Island Community Radio https://www.bereisland.net/

Passenger ferry will be leaving the Pontoon at 10:00am to Traguala and and second ferry will be leaving the slip in Castletownbere at 10.15 on Saturday morning.
