The death has occurred, in her 100th year, of Mary Dowd, Skibblemore, Barn Road, Dunleer (late of Castlebellingham and Dunleer Post Offices) peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda. Mary, beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Catherine. Predeceased by her brother John, sister Rose, nephew Michael and sisters-in-law Bernadette and Josephine. Sadly missed by her brother Paddy, nephews Gerard and Declan, nieces Mary (McGettigan) and Helena (Bowhan), grandnephews, grandnieces, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

A private family funeral for Mary will take place due to Government advice regarding public gatherings, with numbers limited to 10. Removal on Wednesday evening to Saint Brigid's Church, Dunleer arriving for evening prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am. Burial afterwards in Dromin Cemetery. There will be an opportunity for the community to support the family and remember Mary by being present, socially distanced, on the route to the cemetery, via Ardee Road. Those who would like to attend but cannot due to Level 5 restrictions, may leave a personal message in the Condolence section below.
