The death has occurred of Mary Gardiner (née Murphy) (Rushbrooke, Cobh, Co. Cork) on September 27, 2022, at the end of a lifetime of love and caring for her family and many close friends, MARY, peacefully at home; predeceased by her beloved husband, John, sister of the late Fr. Denis. Loving and cherished mother of Charlie, John, Mary (O’Riordan), Brian, Jenny (Parry), Paula, Maebh (Glemser) and the late infant David. Adoring and adored granny of Aoife, Carol, Caspar, Ciara, Conor, David, Declan, Johnny, Julian, Kate, Marcus, Nell, Susanna, Susie and Victor. Great-granny to Alma, Jude and Mirjam. Deeply mourned by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Claudia, Susan and Vivienne; sons-in-law Jochen, Kevin and Martin, grandson-in-law Adil, relatives and friends. With special thanks to Dr. Harry Kelleher for his unfailing attention and compassion.
Removal on Thursday, 29th September, at 7pm to St. Colman’s Cathedral. Requiem mass on Friday, 30th September, at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in St. Colman’s Cemetery, Cobh. House private. Donations in lieu of flowers, if desired, to a charity of your choice.
