The death has occurred of MAUREEN CARNEY (née Geoghegan), Dernish Avenue, Foynes, Co. Limerick. Maureen passed away peacefully on 11th January 2025 at her home in Dernish Avenue in her 101st year surrounded by her loving family.

Maureen is predeceased by her beloved husband Ted and son Peter. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted son Donal, daughter-in-law Martina and cherished grand-daughter Sarah; daughter-in-law Lil, much loved nephew Michael, Grainne, Keevah and Grace. She will also be greatly missed by her nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces; great grand-nephews and great grand-nieces, kind neighbours, exceptional carers and many friends.

Funeral arrangements: Reposing at St. Senan's Church, Foynes, Co. Limerick from 5.00pm until 7.00pm on Sunday 12th January 2025. Requiem Mass for Maureen will take place on Monday 13th January at 12 noon in St. Senan's Church, Foynes followed by Burial in ​​​​Knockpatrick Cemetery.
