Nan O'Neill

The death has occurred of Nan O’Neill, (Nan a Ghabh), Lakeview, Claregalway, Co. Galway and formerly of Letterard, Carna, Co. Galway. Nan passed away peacefully on October 21st, 2021 in the company of family, friends and the caring staff of Unit 6, Merlin Park, Galway.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Hugh, her parents John & Mary McDonagh, her sisters Catherine, Mary and Brigid and her brothers Johnny and Matty.

Nan will be deeply mourned by her daughters Helen (Claregalway), Catherine (UK), her sister Nell Kenny (Boston), her grandchildren Lauren, Kirstie and John (UK) and great-grandchildren Ava Lilly & Sofia Grace.

She will be very sadly missed by her extended family whom she loved dearly. The McDonagh family Ireland and UK, the Lydon and Kenny families USA, sister in law Nora O’Neill and the extended O’Neill families, nieces, nephews, neighbours and many good friends.

Nan’s funeral Mass will take place at 2pm Sunday, October 24th, 2021 in The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Moycullen, Co. Galway followed by burial in Moyrus Cemetery, Dooyeher, Co. Galway and the interment of Hugh’s ashes reuniting them both as they would have wished.

In light of the current Covid19 situation please ensure strict adherence to all HSE Guidelines on public gatherings both inside and outside the Church and Cemetery. The Moycullen Church is operating at 50% capacity allowing up to 150 people with face masks to attend.
