PATRICK MORIARTY known as SYLVIE, On the 8th May 2022, Sylvie passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family at home, in St Albans, Hertfordshire, UK. Beloved son of the late Timothy Moriarty and Mary Sidley; husband to Maureen; father to Clare Chapman, Siobhan Woodward and the late Catherine Moriarty; grandfather to Ryan and Rebecca Cheshire (Brittany, France) and Callum Woodward (Rickmansworth, UK); and brother to the late Bernadette Sullivan (Bere Island) and Maureen Burchell (Ruislip, UK). He will be sadly missed by his brothers Daniel (Cloughland, Bere Island) and John (Ballyorban, Cork), sisters Pam O’Conner (Feltham, UK), Jenny Moriarty (Bantry), Finola Crowley (Ballinakilla, Bere Island) and Agnes O’Driscoll (Schull), as well as his sisters in law, his brother in law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Harringtons Funeral Home, Castletownbere from 4.30pm to 6pm on Monday (23rd).

Requiem Mass will take place at St Michael’s Church, Bere Island, at 11am on Tuesday (24th) followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery, preceded by a service at All Saints Church, Kenton, UK on the 20th May at 6pm.

Funeral cortège will leave Harrington's Funeral Home in Castletownbere at approximately 9.30am to the pontoon, Murphy's ferry will leave for Bere Island at 10am.
