Paddy made his living as a builder and many homes and other buildings in the Kells area today are a testament to his fine craftmanship and knowledge. He was an avid historian of Ireland and County Meath, serving as a long-time member and past president of the Meath Archaeological and Historical Society. He also very much enjoyed genealogy and was pleased to research surname history for family and friends. Paddy was blessed to travel the world in his later years, something he and his late wife, Margaret, delighted in experiencing together.
