The death has occurred of Philomena Duffy (née Cannon) of Rathbawn Road, Castlebar, Co. Mayo. Philomena Duffy (née Cannon) passed away peacefully on Thursday the 14th of January 2021 surrounded by her loving family, in the care of the wonderful staff at the Galway Clinic.
Predeceased by her husband Cathal. Beloved mother of daughters Fionnuala, Mary, Niamh and sons Cathal, Iarla, Ciarán, son in law Padraig and daughter in law Regina. Treasured grandmother of Barry, Maeve, Claire, Katie, Kara, Cathal, Conor, Éabha, Róisín, Conal, Dearbhla, Ríona, Tiernan, Caoimhín, Sarah and Charles. Cherished great-grandmother of Cleo, Stella, Seán and Milo Kevin, her brother Anthony, nieces, nephews, extended Cannon and Duffy families, her neighbours and many friends.

Removal from Coady's Funeral Home this Saturday at 10:45am for funeral Mass in the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar at 11:30am. Afterwards, Philomena will be laid to rest in Aughagower Cemetery. In accordance with government and HSE guidelines and in the interest of public health a private family funeral will take place for Philomena.
Philomena’s Requiem Mass will be live-streamed on
