The death has occurred of Sheila Canney (née Dooley)
Claretuam, Tuam, Galway
Peacefully in the loving care of Greenpark Nursing Home. Sheila, who was predeceased by her husband, Christy, grandchild David and daughter-in-law Geraldine will be greatly missed by her loving children Richard, Marian, Padraig, Seán, Finnuala, Brian and Sheila, daughters in-law Anne and Geraldine, sons in-law Tomás, Billy and Paul, sisters in-law Mary Canney (Belclare) and Nuala McHugh (New Jersey), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and a wide circle of friends.
Sheila’s funeral mass will take place in Sacred Heart Church, Belclare on Wednesday 3rd June at 12 noon for immediate family only. Sheila will be laid to rest afterwards in Claretuam cemetery. People who wish to show their support to the Canney family at this sad time, are welcome to form a static guard of honour at the church grounds by standing 2 metres apart. This is in accordance with current HSE guidelines on social distancing. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Sheila’s life will take place at a later date.
