Thomas (Tommy) Gillen, "Woodview", Cullionbeg, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath - retired Psychiatric Nurse, St Loman's Hospital - November 16, 2020 peacefully in his 92nd year following a short illness in the loving care of his family. Beloved husband of Mary Josephine (Dolly) and father of Brian, Gerry, Maurice and Declan. Tommy will be greatly missed by his wife, sons, daughters-in-law Ann, Mary, Liz and Tessa, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, wonderful neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

 

MAY HE REST IN PEACE

 

In line with Government guidelines, a private Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday at 12 noon in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar followed by burial in Taughmon Cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed on the live webcam at www.mullingarparish.ie.

 

Tommy's family are conscious of the need to protect Public Health and you are asked to abide by the family's wish that sympathisers should not call to the family home. The family would like to thank you one and all for the part that you have played in ensuring that Tommy's long and happy life has been suitably celebrated. Those wishing to express their condolences to Tommy's family may do so in the Condolence Book section below.

 

Family flowers only please, donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society or to the Palliative Care Unit c/o Mullingar Regional Hospital.
