Tony Cafferkey

Tony Cafferkey, Newtown, Clogher, Belmullet, Co. Mayo and formerly of Mullaghroe South, Clogher, Belmullet peacefully at the Mayo Hospice, Castlebar surrounded by his loving family on 15th November 2023.

Predeceased by his parents Owen and Bridget (née Keane), brothers Michael and Martin and sister Ellen Cattigan.

Beloved husband to his devoted wife Mary (née Monaghan) and dear father of Tony (Muings, Barnatra) and John (Attycunnane, Belmullet). He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, daughter in law Mary (née Walsh), grandchildren Aoife, Shane and Ciarán, brother Owen (Lahardane), sister Mary Wilson (Cross, Binghamstown) and Breege Sheehan (Loughrea, Co. Galway), brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet on Friday evening from 6 O’Clock until 8 O’Clock with funeral arriving at St. Brendan’s Church, Tirrane at 9.30. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday afternoon at 1.30 followed by burial in Faulmore Cemetery.
