The death has occurred of Val (Valentine) Byrne, Brooklawn, Ballyfoyle Road, Kilkenny and formerly of Main St., Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo. Peacefully, surrounded by family and in the loving care of the wonderful staff of Maynooth Lodge Nursing Home. Predeceased by his first wife, Anne (Byrne, née Granville) and second wife, Bid (Brigid) (Byrne, O'Carroll, née Killilea), brothers Tommy, John and Brendan and sister Anne. Deeply mourned by his loving children Derek, Val Jnr., Ronan and Laurann, stepchildren Brian, John and Maeve (O’Carroll), brothers Fr. William (Columban) and Michael, sister Maria, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren Colin, Aidan, Ronan, Liam, Kyra, Anya, Rían, Callum, Saidhbhe, Ava, Faye and Niall, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Donnellan’s Funeral Home, Clare St., Ballyhaunis on Sunday, 28th May, from 5pm to 7pm. Requiem mass will take place on Monday, 29th May, at 11 am in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyhaunis.
